Dave Quinn

Director of diagnostic technologies at Welch Allyn

Dave Quinn is director of diagnostic technologies at Welch Allyn. He has more than 28 years of experience with new product design, development and manufacturing at Welch Allyn and more than 20 years of experience in blood pressure measurement technology and methods. He has inventor-ship on 30 issued U.S. patents in the diagnostic technology space and more than 17 additional U.S. and international patents pending. Dave currently serves as producer chairman of the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Sphygmomanometer Committee and is an elected U.S. expert to ISO Blood Pressure and Clinical Thermometry working groups. An adjunct professor in the department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering at Syracuse University, he has co-authored multiple articles on blood pressure measurement and blood pressure device accuracy. Dave is a recipient of the 2015 Dean’s Award for excellence in engineering education from Syracuse University.
